This Unit has been engaged in studies pertaining to the epidemiology of leprosy in Agra district and has initiated studies on association of filariasis with leprosy in Ghatampur area.
This unit deals with the psychosocial aspect of leprosy patients as well as HIV infected individuals. Currently, this unit is undertaking studies on psychosocial aspects of commercial sex workers specially belonging to Beria tribe as well as their clients.
